The Supernova Market is a not-for-profit event that is run entirely by volunteers. This community event would simply not be possible, without many helping hands. We hope that you will join us for a unforgettable day of creativity, live music and good vibes at the Halifax Waterfront.

We are looking for volunteers for the following roles:

​

Vendor Assistant - Greet and help vendors locate their designated spot by referring to the vendor map. Help manage vendor stations during brief washroom breaks. Time commitment: 3  hours

​

Stage Assistant - If you love music and want to help make the entertainment portion of this event a huge success, please consider applying. We are seeking someone who can help transport the sound equipment from the parking lot to the stage by foot. Ability to carry up-to 25 pounds is essential. You must be able to help manage sound quality control and be willing to deliver verbal announcements to the audience. Time Commitment: 2 - 5 hours.

Setup or Tear down Assistant - Help with the event setup or tear down This role involves lifting, bending and kneeling, while assembling. Time Commitment: Approx. 2 hours

Event Marketing Support - Calling all social butterflies! We need you to help us promote the event through various marketing outlets, during the lead-up to the event.

​

Volunteer Lead - Do you have strong leadership skills? If so, this might be the perfect role for you! We require a friendly and organized person to help keep the event running smoothly by coordinating and implementing a volunteer schedule.

​

Please note: These are unpaid volunteer positions. However, they provide excellent opportunities to gain experience, socialize and be apart of our creative community. As a way to show our appreciation, we will gladly provide you with a letter of recommendation upon request, for a job well done.
