At Supernova Events our mission has always been to support and uplift the creativity community in Atlantic Canada. It’s this dedication that makes our markets so special.

 

Recently, we’ve noticed a concerning trend within the broader marketplace and it's something we feel strongly about addressing. There has been a wave of vendors in our region selling mass-produced or imported items, often claiming they are handmade by the vendor. This misrepresentation not only undermines the value of truly handmade goods but also erodes the trust we’ve worked so hard to build in artisan communities.

 

To uphold the integrity of Supernova Events and protect both our artisan vendors and our shoppers, we’ve introduced a "transparency clause." This clause requires vendors to clearly label any items that are not handmade or have been sourced from outside the local area, providing full disclosure to customers.
