Workshop Booking Policies
At Supernova Events we’re all about creating meaningful, inclusive, and unforgettable workshop experiences. To make sure everything runs smoothly for you and our team, here are a few booking policies to keep in mind.
Booking & Payment
A 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your workshop. We accept e-transfers, credit cards, and registered cheques. (Please note: cheques must be received and cleared before the workshop date.)
Supplies & Participant Changes
Each Supernova workshop includes thoughtfully curated supplies for every participant to ensure a high-quality, creative experience. To help us prepare:
-
A non-refundable materials fee is included in your workshop pricing to cover supplies ordered in advance.
-
Final participant numbers must be confirmed at least 14 days before your workshop.
-
After this point, your invoice is locked in, we’re unable to reduce the total if attendees drop out or cancel.
-
We do not offer refunds for no-shows or cancellations due to illness or scheduling conflicts.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we offer flexibility when needed. Here's how our cancellation and rescheduling policy works:
-
Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your workshop, we’re happy to work with you! Simply let us know at least 10 days in advance, and we can find a new date that works for you. (Subject to availability.)
-
Cancellations: Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for cancellations. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ve already invested time and resources into planning, securing supplies, and reserving your spot.
-
Same-Day Cancellations or No-Shows: We regret that same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable. We encourage you to get in touch as early as possible if something comes up.
Late Arrivals
We value punctuality as part of a productive and professional experience for everyone involved. Please note the following policy regarding late arrivals:
-
Grace Period: A 10-minute grace period will be provided for late arrivals. After this time, the workshop will proceed as scheduled.
-
Session Timing: To ensure a smooth and efficient experience for the entire team, we cannot extend the session beyond the scheduled end time.
-
Late Arrivals: If you arrive after the grace period, please join the session quietly and respect the ongoing activities. To minimize disruption, we may ask you to briefly catch up with the facilitator during a break or after the session.
-
Impact on Team Engagement: Since team-building exercises are most effective when everyone participates from the start, please encourage timely arrival to ensure your full team benefits from the experience.
Minimum Attendance
Some workshops may have a minimum group size depending on the format. We’ll discuss the details during your consultation.
Travel & On-Site Workshops
For workshops outside the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), a travel fee will apply. We’ll include this fee in your custom quote.
